The Humane Society of Manatee County exists because of the generous contribution of the community. We rely on volunteers to help care for shelter dogs and cats, to participate in humane education, to help with the cleaning and maintenance and to provide foster care for special needs animals. Our donors provide us with much needed funding or sometimes just an extra bag of dog or cat food for our food bank program.

How involved you want to be with your Humane Society is up to you. Whether you want to help care for the animals, participate in fund raising or community awareness and education or simply help around the office, we can find a place for you!
